We found a cool mirror with a touch of glam for a client’s bathroom renovation. The Uttermost Crofton Antique Gold Mirror was perfect for the project in every way but the cost! At $273.00 the pair we needed was prohibitive.
Thus, I went on the search for an alternative. Thanks to PB Teen’s Brass Beauty Mirror, on sale for $59.99, we have the same cool look.

Beaded chandeliers are completely elegant and sophisticated yet not fussy – all around cool. Think California casual look with a touch of glam.
We have sourced two gorgeous white beaded chandeliers with two dramatically different price points.
The first is our dream chandelier sold by Zinc Door. We love the Ro Sham Beaux Malibu chandelier’s (cost is $1,998.00) causal and elegant look.

While we are in the midst of the dog days of summer, I can’t help but wish I was relaxing on the beach. Rather I am at my desk working; aren’t most of us? Yet, my interior design ideas keep lingering toward my dreams of the coast.
Luckily, the design project currently on the boards is a beach inspired Living Room. Think true southern beach rather than a literally, nautical look. Thus, I have been on a quest for a sculpture that hits the right note of organic, beach cool.
Found the dream sculpture at one of my go to sources, Arteriors Home. Unfortunately, the price of the Kazu Small Sculpture did not fit the allotted budget at $495.00.
Luckily, I found another driftwood sculpture that I liked almost as much at Home Decorators. Their Davis Driftwood Sculpture is only $59.00 – much more in keeping with the budget.

One of my favorite clients, Beth, has had both of us on a quest for a fun chandelier to be used over her existing dining table. The color scheme for her home is blue on blue on blue – all shades blended together. Think Florida beach without a nautical twist.
In our search we found this amazing light from Currey and Company. The price, well let’s just say retail is well over $4,000.00. While this fixture is perfect, we had to look for something similar in Beth’s budget.
So here is what we found from Junk Gypsy Company – the Wanderlust Chandelier. The price – only $395.00.

The first option (LOVE) are from Crate and Barrel. The Cody Dining Chair is clean lined and comfortable. Perfect for dinner parties or even everyday dining. The cost of these fashionable and functional chairs is $449.00 each.
Not in your budget?
Hayneedle has a similar, equally awesome dining chair, called the Belham Living Paige Open Back Dining Chair. The basic lines are nearly identical but at $249.98 for a pair of two chairs, the cost is certainly different.

Horchow Wallace Bench
A bench that is both masculine and feminine, modern and classic and with a high and low price tag is a true find! Whether used in an entry under a mirror or painting or at the foot of a bed, this bench makes a statement and tops the list of good interior design ideas.
The Wallis Leather Bench from Horchow costs $1,399.00. While I love the bench I am not sure I love the price. This sent me off searching for something similar, something within the budget of my current project.
And, look what I found! Coleman Furniture has a nearly identical piece called the Envy Leather / Acrylic Bench. Any envy I do. This incredible find only costs $349.00. Now that is a true score.

Today’s look for less is not for the meek! A bold pink wing chair makes a strong statement. Some interior design ideas are so good that they can carry a room with a bold color and classic shape.
The Nelson Wing Chair in Garrison Linen Magenta from Ballard Designs is such an idea. Fuchsia linen is a perfect mix of bold and classic. Cool and modern, fun and feminine. With a price tag of a tad over $1,000.00 you need to be sure you are ready to embrace such a bold statement! This gorgeous chair is a bit of an investment.
But, you can still dabble with a similar chair for about 75% less. The Fuchsia Nina Cahir sold by World Market has a similar strong color and classic shape. World Market even added tufting to further elevate the look.
